Master Jaime Arôxa

In a moment when everybody is looking for alternatives to avoid loneliness, dance is the big answer. The one who dances is happier; I have no doubt about that!

As child, Jaime showed an artistic suitability for dancing. In the 80's when he moved permanently from Recife to Rio de Janeiro he found out about Ballroom dancing through his first teacher, Maria Antonieta. As a professional, Jaime created his own methods of teaching Ballroom dance, highlighting the expression of feelings, and the use of movement.

In 1986 Jaime Arôxa started his own dance school where over 24 thousand students have already attended. Parallel to his teaching life, which he dedicates seven days a week, Jaime also spends his days choreographing plays, movies, soap operas and concerts, expanding even more of his work with a more comprehensive look to the whole scene of human movement.
